TARE - GROCERY PRICE INTELLIGENCE
Know when a supermarket special is actually special.
Tare compares Australian grocery specials against twelve months of price history across Coles, Woolies, Aldi and IGA.
THE PROBLEM
Retail pricing makes shoppers guess.
Specials, member prices and pack-size changes make it hard to know whether today's price is genuinely low or just the new sticker price.
Tare gives shoppers the missing context: product-level price history and a plain verdict.
HOW IT WORKS
Three checks before a verdict.
Collect
We refresh published grocery prices on the retailers' weekly cycle.
Compare
Each product is checked against its own twelve-month price range.
Verdict
You see whether to buy now, wait, or ignore the sticker noise.
THE VERDICT
Four labels. No price theatre.
At or near the low end of its twelve-month range.
Typical price. Buy if you need it, no urgency.
The special is still above its usual range.
The discount signal is weak. Skip unless you need it now.

FAQ
Common questions.
How is Tare different from Frugl, WiseList, or SmartCart?
Most apps show today's special. Tare checks whether that special is low against the product's own price history.
How much does it cost?
The core app is free. Premium features may be added later, but store pricing is not set yet.
How do I know your prices are accurate?
We refresh published retailer prices on the weekly grocery cycle. Retailer checkout prices remain authoritative; send corrections to support@tare.net.au.
Do you sell my shopping data?
No. We do not sell personal data, run ad pixels, or take affiliate commissions.
Where do the verdicts come from?
Per-product math against twelve months of price history. The app compares current price against the product's usual range and assigns a plain label.
Will there be a hardware / homewares / auto version?
Yes. Same brand, same mechanic, every retail vertical the duopoly distorts. Roadmap: Tare — Hardware in 2027, then Homewares, Auto, and Garden.
